Sweet Spot started with the idea of connecting race teams to drivers, much like AirBnb matches housing with renters. A common theme began to crystallize at tracks, in race groups, at events and driving schools – People interested in the sport needed help getting in, and people already in the sport needed help finding seat time. We saw garages with beautiful race cars sitting silent under thin layers of dust. As racing fanatics, this made us a bit sad, but it also drove us to look for solutions. Fixing this problem was the basis of our vision, the foundation for connecting people to, and within the sport we love. It didn’t stop there. It quickly became apparent that we could use the same technology to benefit race series by helping them drive more traffic to their events, whether that was drivers, fans or volunteers.
